Achiro P. Olwoch will be serving as the Interim Artistic Director of National Queer Theater January 1 – March 31, 2025. Achiro’s remarkable talent, vision, and commitment to storytelling make her uniquely suited to guide NQT in this next chapter. “I have no doubt that under her leadership, NQT will thrive in our mission to uplift queer artists. Her play The Survival captivated audiences at Lincoln Center in 2022 and PAC NYC in 2024, and her leadership of the Criminal Queerness Studio has empowered LGBTQ+ writers worldwide to share their stories in the face of censorship and oppression. This Spring, she will return to lead the studio, continuing to build a global community of queer creatives.
